If it is possible to build a hotel of ice in a small village 200km north of the Arctic Circle, striking the entire world with amazement, then anything is possible.
The story of ICEHOTEL is indeed a fairy tale come true.
The free-flowing Torne River is the origin and artery of ICEHOTEL. From the river, the ice is borrowed each early spring, kept cold during summer and transformed into ICEHOTEL as soon as the cold season allows. All is returned trickling naturally to the river come late spring.
